Firstly, I would like to personally welcome to HP First Aid Training Ltd.
After leaving school and qualifying as a veterinary nurse, this sparked my interest in medicine. An opportunity arose leading me to join London Ambulance Service in 1996 and became a Paramedic.
In 1999, I moved back to my native Wirral and joined Mersey Regional Ambulance Service (now North West Ambulance Service) where I still work as a Paramedic part time on frontline Emergency Ambulances in Cheshire.
Hello and welcome to HP First Aid Training Ltd.
Like Neil, I am a Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered Paramedic with over 30 year’s front line emergency care experience.
Initially joining the Ambulance Service in 1992 on Patient Transport Service duties supporting the elderly, then in 1994 he secured a position as an Emergency Medical Technician within the then Derbyshire Ambulance Service, working throughout the high peaks area of Buxton.
Returning to the Northwest in 1999, I completed my Paramedic training and went on to work as a Treat and Refer Paramedic on Rapid Response cars within the Cheshire and Wirral area. I currently work as a specialist paramedic in our headquarters for 111, assessing emergency calls over the phone, ensuring patients receive the right care.
Zoe is a first aid instructor with her own first aid training company and is one of our 'ad hoc' associate instructors.
Zoe's background is early years paediatric training and education and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in paediatric first aid as well as adults.
As well as running her own company, she is a mum to two young girls and in her spare time (surprisingly she finds some), Zoe is a community First Responder (CFR) for North West Ambulance Service, volunteering her valuable free time to respond to 999 emergency calls.
